The spa town is nestled in the centre of the beautiful Peak District. Stunning ornamental gardens and home of world-famous Georgian and Victorian architecture. Buxton also offers a wealth of independent and high street shopping opportunities including the boutiques of the Cavendish Arcade. Independent shops line the High Street whilst more familiar names can be found in the Springs Shopping Centre.

 

Whilst on tour, the following program includes;

 

Bakewell

 

• Referred to often as the “Capital town of the Peak District”, Bakewell is located in the Peak District National Park and oozes rich heritage and tradition. The town offers quaint tea rooms set in cosy courtyards, a traditional weekly market, a Grade I listed church, a museum, and many traditional stone-built buildings. No visit to Bakewell would be complete without sampling some of the town’s famous specialities. The Bakewell tart is a must-try. The town is also home to lots of artisan food producers, from cheese makers to bakers to micro brewers.

 

Crich Tramways Village

 

• Take a tram ride back in time at Crich Tramway Village, home of The National Tramway Museum. Visitors can ride on some of the world-renowned collection of vintage trams through the unique period street and out into the open countryside for spectacular views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside. Explore fascinating exhibitions in the museum and watch as trams are restored from the Workshop Viewing Gallery. This captivating journey into history is made complete with a stroll on the fascinating Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail and perhaps a trip to the unique Red Lion Pub, tearooms and shops.
