Wordsworth found his inspiration for one of the most famous poems in English literature in the Lake District. You too can find that there is so much to see and do in England’s largest National Park, based near the historic market town of Penrith.

 

Whilst on tour, the following program includes;

 

• Often referred to as the “Gateway to the Dales” explore this award winning market town that has a Castle overlooking the High Street. May be even take a cruise on the Leeds Liverpool Canal or watch the world go by relaxing in one of the many café’s throughout the town.

• Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park at the northern end of Lake Windermere, the popular market town of Ambleside draws visitors all year round to explore the many independent shops, admire the views and learn about the history with many traditional grey slate buildings dominate the town.

• Famous for its legendary Gingerbread and connections with Wordsworth, take time to explore Grasmere, home to many shops, pubs and café’s along with magnificent views to enjoy.
