Morecambe town centre experienced a multi-million pound regeneration in the early 1900’s. There is a good choice of restaurants and pubs, whilst shoppers will find an interesting mix of traditional and high street stores, as well as the popular Festival Market, plus award winning promenade and don’t forget to visit the famous Eric Morecambe statue!

Lancaster

 

• Rich in heritage, history, and culture, the city of Lancaster has something for everyone. Featuring a bustling city atmosphere offers diverse shopping and noteworthy historical landmarks including the famous Castle.

 

Grange Over Sands

 

• Grange-over-Sands is an elegant town, retaining much of its elegance from its heyday as a fashionable seaside resort in the 19th century – thanks to the influence of the Gulf Stream and the arrival of the rail in the 1850s. Famous for its ornamental gardens, popular shopping arcades and its stretched seafront promenade.

 

Ulverston

 

• Today, the centre of Ulverston maintains its historical appeal, with attractive older buildings spread out along cobbled streets heading to the marketplace.

• Amongst the famous names to be associated with this Cumbrian town is Comedian Stan Laurel who was born in Ulverston in 1890. The world's only museum dedicated to Laurel and his comic partner, Oliver Hardy, can be found in Ulverston
