Immerse yourself in the picturesque Suffolk countryside as we journey along the River Orwell, one of England’s most beautiful and historic rivers. Relax and enjoy ever-changing river scenes, whatever the weather, from the tranquil countryside to the hustle and bustle of Port of Felixstowe. Absorb the history and tales from our Skipper’s commentary whilst enjoying a sightseeing trip.

 

Flatford (National Trust)

 

Flatford lies in the heart of the beautiful Dedham Vale. This charming hamlet was the inspiration for some of John Constable's most famous pictures, for example, the Hay Wain or Boatbuilding near Flatford Mill among many others. Wandering beside the River Stour or looking at Flatford Mill and Willy Lott's House you can feel as if you are actually walking through one of his paintings. The informative exhibition will give you an insight into Constable's life at Flatford.

 

Cambridge

 

• Cambridge – home to the University of Cambridge, an institution dating back more than 800 years. Perhaps take a punt on the River Cam to see the city from a unique perspective.
