Inverary Castle, Fort William Wildlife & Whisky

Fort William is a large town in Scotland's West Highlands, renowned as the "Outdoor Capital of the UK" due to its spectacular natural setting at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain.

Whilst on tour, the following program includes;

DAY TWO

• A spectacular sightseeing tour today. We travel Southwest to the lovely little whitewashed town of Inveraray. There is time for a look around, obtain a drink and a bite to eat. Maybe try the iron bru ice-cream!. Our afternoon visit takes us to the magnificent, unique and fascinating Inveraray Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll. Fans of Downton Abbey may remember it featured as Duneagle Castle in the series.

DAY THREE

• Today we head along Glen Dochart to Killin, with the Falls of Dochart rushing through the village. From here we drive along Loch Tay to Aberfeldy, where we have our lunch break. This afternoon we head south along the Sma’ Glen to Crieff. Here we visit the Glenturret Distillery, who whiskey is key ingredient of the Famous Grouse, for a tour and a wee dram. Our return takes us along Loch Earn and Glen Ogle to Crianlarich.

DAY FOUR

• This morning, we journey to Fort William, a picturesque town sitting on the shores of Loch Linnhe under the mighty bulk of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. Enjoy free time at leisure to explore the town. Attractions include the West Highland Museum, which houses a large collection of Jacobite memorabilia. On the afternoon we board for a 2-hour wildlife cruise on Loch Linnhe taking in the iconic views of Ben Nevis and the local sights including Seal Island. If we are lucky, there is a possibility of spotting dolphins.
